In Indore, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, recently inaugurated a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College’s Super Specialty Hospital. He also unveiled a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College. The building, costing around Rs 6 crore, addresses space constraints identified by the Dental Council of India during inspections. The advanced CT scan machine, donated by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, will enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities.
The Chief Minister expressed his commitment to improving healthcare services in the state, noting that the new equipment will aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnoses. Additionally, he mentioned that the new building at the dental college will provide world-class facilities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as outpatients.
During his visit to Indore, Chief Minister Yadav also inspected the MR-10 situated ISBT, which is expected to be operational by December. He announced plans for Indore to become home to India's largest inter-state bus terminal, designed like an airport. This state-of-the-art facility will be a new landmark for the city and the state, significantly enhancing the state's infrastructure.The construction of a new terminal is underway in preparation for the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering. The 15-acre facility, built at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA, aims to improve the travel experience for passengers. The terminal is designed to accommodate up to 80,000 passengers daily and 1,440 buses around the clock. It will include 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and other amenities. The CM also inaugurated a new library at Holkar Science College. Additionally, while speaking to employees at the Sanchi Dairy Plant in Indore, the CM reassured that no permanent or outsourced staff would be laid off. He emphasized the government's commitment to strengthening the state's dairy sector and supporting dairy cooperatives. In another event, the CM unveiled a statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi in the city forest, honoring the sacrifice made by Bishnoi and her community in protecting the environment. During his visit to Indore, the CM sought blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign', which has conducted blood tests on approximately 50,000 individuals.
